Saturday morning dawned and Ronski and I decided to play hookie from our jobs. We, along with my brother Brad, took off up Butterfield Canyon. The end result was the top of a peak in the Oquirrh Mountains that overlooks the Bingham Canyon Copper Mine, a lot of the Salt Lake Valley, a lot of Utah Valley, and you can turn around and look into Tooele too!
To say it nicely, it was hard. :) It was an uphill climb the whole time. I won't lie... I had to walk and push my bike a lot of the way. Of course, the boys thought it was cake.
With about a mile left we ran into some snow drifts. We kept going thinking it would go away, but it didn't. We finally left our bikes and walked the rest of it.
The view was fabulous.
